I have taught URBS 3300 /URBS 5300: GIS Applications in Social Science at the University of Pennsylvania since Fall 2021. The course introduces undergraduate and graduate students from diverse academic fields to GIS and mapping principles and practices. Over the course of each semester, students learn to use ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro software to create compelling, accurate mats and perform basic spatial analysis.

As the sole instructor for this course, I evaluate and update the syllabus and course materials each year, prepare data for student use in class exercises and homework assignments, develop text and graphics for presentations and how-to guides, and facilitate in-person class sessions.
